Where can I see my score report?

GMAT official score reports are available for students within 20 days from their exam. Once the results are available, a student can access them through their account on MBA.com. You will also receive a notification email by Pearson VUE when your results are posted. You can then print, download and view your results through your account as you please.

How do I edit my profile on MBA.com?

For everything except your name, country of citizenship and birth date, you can make the required changes through your account on MBA.com.

Due to security reasons, your name, citizenship, and birth date can only be changed by the process of contacting customer care and providing them with the right documents to prove your change as a valid.

You must contact the customer service of your region, and provide them with the following documents for your respective changes.

What if my school, or undergraduate institution is not on the list in the profile section?

Since the name of the undergraduate institution is an optional field, you can leave it blank if your undergraduate institution doesn’t pop up on the list presented by MBA.com. however, if you wish to, you can ask the customer support team to add the name of your undergraduate institution by sending them the name and location of your school via an email to [email protected]

How can I find business schools that fit me?

The GMAC provides tools for an aspiring MBA student to connect with schools that would help them actualize their career plans in the best way possible. The service is called GMASS and is a free search service.

All you need to do is create an MBA.com account and fill out your profile with details like your interests and career plans. The algorithm then matches you to schools that fit your needs.

How do I schedule my GMAT exam?

To schedule your GMAT exam, you will first need to create an account on the official site for the GMAT, MBA.com.

Once your account has been created, click on register now. This option will take you to the link where you can schedule your GMAT exam, complete with the date, time, and test center, simply by filling in the details of your profile and making the $ 250 fee payment for the GMAT.

Can I take the GMAT in high school?

First of all, you don’t need to take your GMAT exam in high school. the GMAT test scores are valid for 5 rolling years. Meaning, if you take your GMAT exam in high school and then graduate from a course of 4 years, you will have only one more year to add work experience or any other extra projects to your MBA profile.

Due to the strong competition MBA applicants spend 4-5 years, on an average, working before they apply to business schools for an MBA admit.

However, if you feel the need to take your GMAT in high school, there aren’t any guidelines against it.

Anyone under the legal age of 18, needs to get the consent of their legal guardian to take the GMAT. Such applicants need to fill the GMAT Parental Consent/Authorization form (pdf) and send it [email protected]

How do I reschedule/cancel my exam?

In either case of rescheduling or cancelling your GMAT exam, you will be charged certain fee. There can be many reasons for a student to either reschedule or cancel their GMAT exam. However, GMAC doesn’t require reasons from you as to why you’re cancelling or rescheduling your exam.

There are two ways to reschedule or cancel your GMAT appointment, online, and through the phone.

Also note that a cancellation or rescheduling made o the phone carries an extra charge of $10, separate from the fee for cancellation or rescheduling of the appointment itself.

Some incidents will require you to cancel or reschedule your GMAT appointment only through the phone. One of which is when you wish to reschedule your exam to a country different from which your current exam center is located in. however, you won’t have to pay a surcharge for this particular rescheduling via phone.

The rescheduling and cancellation fees vary according to the time left in your GMAT appointment when you decide to reschedule the exam. It can vary amongst countries and is easily available on the MBA.com site.

In regards to India, here are the rescheduling and cancellation charges explained:

  1. Rescheduling fee to reschedule the GMAT more than 7 days before the appointment: $60
  2. Rescheduling fee to reschedule the GMAT less than 7 days before the appointment: $250
  3. Refund on cancellation of the GMAT more than 7 days before the appointment: $80
  4. Refund on cancellation of the GMAT less than 7 days before the appointment: $0

How many times, and how often can I take the GMAT exam?

Since December 2016, new guidelines have been set determining the total number of attempts an applicant can make on the GMAT.

An applicant is allowed to take the GMAT every 16 days. However, they must also not take more than 5 GMAT exams in a rolling 12-month period.

The exam is also only allowed 8 times in total in a student’s lifetime.

Can I take the GMAT in a country I am not a citizen of?

If you wish to take a GMAT exam in a country that you’re not the citizen of, all you need to do is provide a government issued non-expired ID at the test center.

IDs valid in such a case are:

  1. International Travel Passport
  2. Government Issued Driver’s License
  3. Government Issued Identity card
  4. Military ID

Who can get accommodations on the GMAT?

To receive accommodations on the GMAT, one must be able to provide various documents to prove their disability in regards to taking the test.

Your account on MBA.com allows you to fill out certain forms to claim accommodations.

How can I register to get accommodations?

Follow this link to register as a test taker with disabilities on the GMAT.

Once you are registered as such, you will be given a GMAT ID number. The next step is to fill in the GMAT Exam Accommodations request form. You will also be asked to provide medical documents to verify your claim of disability.

Once this process is over, you will be informed, via mail, whether your request to register with accommodations has been approved or not.

Do I have to register for the test before applying for accommodations?

No.

When you pay for a GAMT appointment, the date, time slot and seat is booked for you. However, there is no way of guaranteeing that the test center would be able to provide you your required accommodations on the day of your appointment.

Also, the GMAC requires some time to cross-reference your application for accommodations with your medical records. Thus, by the time they decide whether you’re eligible for accommodation, your exam date might already be there.

This is why the GMAC asks students to first get their accommodations cleared. Once you have been cleared for certain accommodations, the GMAC will be able to tell you which test centers and dates they would be able to provide you with your required accommodations and ask you to choose accordingly.

Will my accommodations be mentioned in my GMAT score report?

No, accommodations are kept private.

The MBA.com’s privacy policy states that everyone in-charge of handling various aspects of an accommodations request, even if just a service provider, has to follow strict confidentiality rules to ensure the privacy of the applicant.

Thus, your score report doesn’t have any mention of accommodations when published.

How do I retake the GMAT if I took the previous one with accommodations?

If you have taken your GMAT Exam with accommodations within the past two years, you can apply to take the GMAT with the same accommodations again, considering your documentation is still current.

All you are required to do is fill the GMAT Exam Accommodation Request Form and send it to Pearson VUE, Attn.: GMAT Disability Services. Such requests also take a shorter amount, 5 business days, to process.

Can I choose the accommodations I get?

You can send in any requests that you might have regarding the accommodations that the GMAC provides you with for your GMAT exam. However, whether you receive all your requested accommodations or not is in the hands of the GMAC.

While they will consider all your requests, you will only be given the accommodations that the GMAC believes you absolutely require

What ID is valid for the test center?

The GMAT requires you to submit an ID that is government issued and not expired. It should also have a recent and recognizable photo. The test on the ID should be legible. The test center will also not accept any photocopies and would require you to submit an original ID.

It also needs to contain exactly the same name and date of birth that you submitted during your registration for the test. the last thing that your ID should have is your signature.

Can I use my phone from the storage locker during breaks?

No, you can’t. GMAT has strict policies against using any paraphernalia that could help you cheat. Thus, they even ban the use of any smartwatches, or Ipods.

While, you can keep your phone in your locker, and access it during the breaks, it will be considered cheating by the test center executives.

Can I get a break in case of an emergency?

Ye you can. GMAT provides you with two optional breaks of 8 minutes during the entirety of the test. however, these breaks are planned an cannot be taken as per your discretion.

In case of an emergency, you are allowed to take breaks during your test. All you need to do is raise your hand and the administrator of the test will set your screen to break-mode. However, since this is an unscheduled break, your test timer will not be stopped.

Thus, you can take an unscheduled break during the GMAT, but the time will come out of the section you’re doing at that point.

Can schools see all my scores from every GMAT I took?

Your Official GMAT score report contains scores from the past five years. Meaning, any GMAT test that you have taken within the five years prior to a school looking at your GMAT score report, they will be able to see.

However, when you cancel a score, it does not show up in your official score report meant for the school. The choice to use a certain GMAT score is also at the schools’ discretion, they however choose the latest most of the times.

When will I receive my score report?

Your official GMT score reports are available within the next 20 days of your exam. However, if you re-instate a score, your official score report will be available within 20 days from the date you re-instated your score.

Once your scores are ready to be reported, you will receive an email from PearsonVUE. You can then go to your MBA.com account and download or print your score report as per your convenience.

How are additional score reports ordered and when will they be available?

Additional score reports cost $35 for each individual report. If selected any less than 5 business schools during your GMAT to send free score reports to, the remainder will not be carried on. You will have to for every single score report you ask for after your GMAT is over.

You can order additional score reports online, and via phone. Ordering reports via phone will however add a charge of $10.

An additional score report is available within 7 days of ordering.

How long are GMAT scores valid?

GMAT scores are valid for a rolling 5-year period

However, GMAT scores are available for reporting for a 10-year period. If you ask for a score report with scores older than five years, you will have to pay a fee for the same. Also, scores older than five years can only be requested from the GMAT customer service of your region.

An older score report is also sent to schools with a warning regarding the interpretation of the score.

Can I reinstate my cancelled scores?

Just like every other GMAC service in relation to the GAT, cancelled scores can be reinstated by paying a fee. You are required to pay a $50 fee at the time of re-instating your score, and are required to do it via phone or your mBA.com account.

Again, re-instating your cancelled scores can be done as many times as you want within 72 hours with a fee every time you cancel or re-instate your score. You will also be required to pay a sur-charge of $10 on performing this action via phone.

Can schools see my cancelled score?

No, the score report that business school receive, does not contain any cancelled scores from your tests.

How can I send my scores to business schools?

During the GMAT exam, you are asked to select up to five business schools to send your official GMAT score report to.

If you select any less than five business schools at this point, and wish to send your score report to any additional schools, you will have to pay a fee of $35 for every additional report.

Advice: By the day before the test day, you will have an idea of what your performance on the test would be like. Use this knowledge to carefully select the schools, on the night before your test,that you want to select during your GMAT.

What if I want my exam to be rechecked?

Since your performance on the Verbal, and the Quant sections on the GMAT is evaluated immediately, the only section you can request to be rechecked is the Analytical Writing Assessment.

To ask for a rechecking, you will have to contact the GMAT customer service.

You can also ask for a rescoring only once per GMAT exam, and the scores after the re-checking are considered final.

The official score report after the rescoring is available to the student, as well as the business schools, within 20 days from the re-scoring request.

The GMAT Official Practice Questions pack contains 404 unique questions with answer explanations that cannot be found in any other products catered by the GMAC.

Do multiple copies of GMAT Official Prep Products have different questions?

It is not possible to purchase multiple copies of the GMAT Official Prep Products from the same account.

What should be my GMAT score?

Don’t concern yourself with how much can you probably score on the test. Instead, look at how much you want to score.

You can find out your goal score by looking at the GMAT scores of the latest graduating class of the business schools you wish to join. The highest average score, from the list of average scores of the latest graduating classes of the various business schools you wish to apply to, should be your GMAT goal score.

For example, you selected any 5 business schools. Now, the average GMAT score for the class of 2020 at these business schools is 650, 670, 650, 690, and 660 respectively, the highest score in this list is 690. Thus, your GMAT goal score should be above 690 as it would mean you have above average scores for all colleges in your list.

However, if your target business schools land in the top tier business schools, do not use the average GMAT score for your goal score. In this case, use the 80th percentile score from their graduating class to really have a competitive advantage.

Are there any discounts on the GMAT fee?

GMAC allows students to apply for GMAT fee waivers, and accepts vouchers that individual organizations have purchased.

However, there isn’t any discount codes as such tot reduce the fee.

Undergrad students, receive a heavy discount in their GMAT fee and have to pay $150 for their test. but, they aren’t given any official score reports to send to business schools. They also have to pay a higher fee of $ 50 for each school they wish to send their score reports to.
